Associates with Antares Group, Inc. came together to donate items for Rockdale Emergency Relief’s School Break Lunch Program. As a result, the firm helped provide lunches to nearly 200 young people in Rockdale County who are home this week during Spring Break, and many of whom rely on free and reduced lunches for their meals.
Antares Group associates Lindsey Fling, Aimee Gartner, Jennifer Singleton and Sarah Stanley-Proper, gathered Thursday morning at Conyers Presbyterian Church and loaded two cars with sack lunches and bottled waters. Working in pairs, the four Antares Group associates drove to previously identified neighborhoods in Conyers where they distributed nearly 200 meals during the lunchtime hour.
“The children we served approached us with smiles on their faces and were so grateful for the lunches we provided,” said Aimee Gartner, who is marketing and communications manager for Antares Group and who serves on the board of directors for Rockdale Emergency Relief. “We are so thankful to our staff who generously donated items for the lunches and to Rockdale Emergency Relief for organizing this much-needed program.”
