Inside and out of the office, the CPAs and staff at Antares Group are committed to making a difference in our community.

Giving back to the community is a core value for Antares Group, both in our local area and in the business organizations that are important to our clients. For over 30 years, we have been active supporters of the Ronald McDonald House Charities as well as a variety of different McDonald’s-focused and local charitable organizations.

  • Antares Group donates to Newton County Sheriff’s Office Back To School Supply Giveaway

    Antares Group, Inc. was a proud sponsor this year of the Newton County Sheriff’s Office Back To School Supply Giveaway. In addition to sponsoring the annual event, members of our firm donated several packets of lined filler paper for the students. Each year, the Back to School Supply Giveaway distributes more than 5,000 backpacks filled with school supplies for students in Newton County. The event was held Saturday, July 27, at Newton High School in Covington.

  • Antares Group recognized by United Way

    The United Way of Greater Atlanta recognized Antares Group as a Child Well-Being Champion for our firm’s continued support of the United Way’s mission to improve child well-being in Rockdale County and the greater Atlanta area. We are proud to be a supporter of this wonderful organization!

  • Antares Group, Inc. serves community through Rockdale Emergency Relief’s School Break Lunch Program

    Associates with Antares Group, Inc. came together to donate items for Rockdale Emergency Relief’s School Break Lunch Program. As a result, the firm helped provide lunches to nearly 200 young people in Rockdale County who are home this week during Spring Break, and many of whom rely on free and reduced lunches for their meals.

    Antares Group associates Lindsey Fling, Aimee Gartner, Jennifer Singleton and Sarah Stanley-Proper, gathered Thursday morning at Conyers Presbyterian Church and loaded two cars with sack lunches and bottled waters.  Working in pairs, the four Antares Group associates drove to previously identified neighborhoods in Conyers where they distributed nearly 200 meals during the lunchtime hour.

    “The children we served approached us with smiles on their faces and were so grateful for the lunches we provided,” said Aimee Gartner, who is marketing and communications manager for Antares Group and who serves on the board of directors for Rockdale Emergency Relief. “We are so thankful to our staff who generously donated items for the lunches and to Rockdale Emergency Relief for organizing this much-needed program.”

  • Antares Group donates Thanksgiving meals to Phoenix Pass

    Our associates at Antares Group, Inc. donated money to purchase Thanksgiving meal ingredients and the firm provided provided turkeys for the 15 families living at Phoenix Pass, a nonprofit organization based in Conyers, Ga., that provides transitional housing to women and their children experiencing temporary homelessness. The program provides participants the opportunity to reestablish self-sufficiency in a residential setting by providing supportive services and the resources to recover and rebuild a productive, stable lifestyle for themselves and their children.

    The meal baskets were delivered to Phoenix Pass the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, where they were placed in the meeting room to surprise the ladies when they arrived for a class later in the day.

  • Sparkmon & Associates donates care items to Ronald McDonald House

    Sparkmon & Associates, CPAs, presented to members of the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities Board of Directors this week donations of personal hygiene items, personal care items, snacks and other household goods for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Atlanta.

    Sparkmon & Associates, CPAs, has a long tradition of supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and collects and donates personal hygiene items throughout the year. Through the added generosity of the firm’s team members this week, Sparkmon & Associates, CPAs, also purchased a large supply of laundry products, food items and household goods.

    As the holidays near, associates with the firm will also raise money to purchase Christmas presents for the families, as well as volunteer time to cook holiday meals and work in the RMHC holiday store.

    “We are honored to work with the Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses, and volunteering our time and resources to them is a blessing for all of us,” said Tracy Young, co-director of Accounting Services with Sparkmon & Associates, CPAs.

    The Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses are located near Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and near Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. The Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses have served more than 48,000 families with ill and injured children receiving medical care nearby.

  • Helping in Houston

    Upon seeing the devastation to the Houston area as a result of Hurricane Harvey, we felt led to help make sure some of those in greatest need were provided for. Our associates have donated $670 and our firm matched that amount for a total contribution of $1,340 to the Ronald McDonald House Houston. We are proud to be a supporter of this worthy organization.
