Does it feel a little sluggish, like it takes longer to get moving in the morning? Does it move a little slower than it used to, taking more time to complete normal tasks? If this sounds like your computer network, perhaps it’s time to schedule an assessment of your IT operations.
Sparkmon & Associates’ team of IT professionals is available to evaluate your network – either with an onsite visit or an in-depth phone call about your existing system and how well it is meeting your needs.
During a site survey, our consultants will take a comprehensive look at what you have and see how you are using that technology.
“We will talk to your office staff and get an idea of their pain points and see what their processes are,” said Mat Payne, director of IT for Sparkmon & Associates, CPAs. “After a thorough site visit we can determine what needs to be replaced, what can be upgraded, and what could be scrapped. Sometimes it is a matter of fully utilizing the technology that you have through training and minor changes.”
Payne suggests that any network that has been in place for more than five years without any changes is due for review, particularly if the operating system has reached its end of life and is no longer supported by Microsoft.
Of course there are other signs that an upgrade may be necessary.
“If you are experiencing sluggishness, slowness or general network malaise, we should probably take a quick peek at your network,” Payne said.
While it’s easy to overlook the small inconveniences, the reality is those issues quickly could become big problems.
“You don’t want your computer to not boot up the next morning. Then you would be faced with nothing to work with until you got a new computer and all the data transferred over,” he said. “If you notice symptoms, it’s easier to correct them first.”
Payne said in most cases on-site evaluation would take just three or four hours. If an entire network does need to be replaced, our IT staff will work with you and your staff to minimize downtime.
With the combined experience of the IT team at Sparkmon & Associates, there are few issues they have not seen and have been able to successfully address.
“Clients have called us over the years to get our advice on a new computer, a version of software, or malware infection help,” Payne said. “Based on the issue, we can often resolve it over the phone while you wait. We utilize a safe and secure remote access service to connect to your systems. We have experience with all operating systems including Mac and PC.”
Sparkmon & Associates does not sell computer hardware, but our team of professionals do their homework and search for the products that will best suit our clients’ individual needs. The hardware is then shipped to our offices where the IT team preconfigures everything to get as much of the installation done as possible before delivering and completing the installation onsite.
Our team also builds training into the installation or upgrade process to make sure our clients are satisfied and confident that their network will meet the needs of their business.
